I hope you ladies are having a wonderful summer. It is flying by, isn't it? The leadership team held their first meeting on July 20. Below are some important points. I'll be adding more in the future too.
The Leadership Team:
We are still looking to fill a few spots on the leadership team. We are looking for individuals to assist The Prayer Team and the Craft Team. We are also looking for an Off-Week Coordinator and a Christmas Bazaar Coordinator. The Christmas Bazaar is vital to the success of JUMC MOPS. If you are interested, please contact April or Jen for more info.
MOPS Meetings:
Our first meeting will be September 15 at 9:30. We will be meeting for 3 weeks in a row and then have one week off. On the off week, we will schedule a play date of some sort so we can keep the momentum going.
Topics:
Here is a small sample of some of the topics we will cover.
Marriage and Family. We plan to have a marriage counselor come in to talk about various issues and answer questions. We would like to have a family therapist come in and talking about how to survive the holiday's/family gatherings.
Fitness and health: We plan to have a nutritionist, personal trainer and an OBGYN or midwife to come in to help us with our post-baby body and health concerns.
Kiddos: We also plan to have a child nutritionist and a child psychologist come in to talk to us and answer questions specifically related to the needs of our little ones.
The fun stuff: Of course there will be crafts, games, prizes, lots of chit-chat and family fun ideas.
Operation Christmas Child:
Because school supplies are so cheap right now, we will be launching operation Christmas child in the next few days to our existing members. Keep an eye out for a sign up list over email.
New Member Invitations:
If you plan on inviting a new member, and we hope all of you do, please send us their home address we will send them an invitation.
As always, if anyone has any questions or suggestions, you can always contact April or Jen.
